Carl Hoefkens has issued an ultimatum to the Stoke management that he will leave if he does not get back into the first team.

He’s currently away on international duty and has told a Belgium newspaper, Het Laaste Nieuws, that he’s fed up of the current situation at the Brit: ‘I was soothed with weak excuses, such as that my children are keeping me from my sleep,’

‘On Saturday I played the complete game but, if things do not change, I will be gone in the winter.’

Hoefkens’ contract is up in the summer, so Pulis would probably consider an offer for the player in the January transfer window

Last season’s ‘player of the season’, Hoefkens has made many friends whilst at Stoke and most fans are unhappy that such a talented defender has been allowed to languish on the subs’ bench since the arrival of Andy Griffin on loan from Portsmouth.
