Hill’s staying at the Brit

Clint Hill’s proposed move to Crystal Palace seems to be off after the defender revealed that no firm offer had been made by Neil Warnock.

The Potters’ intentions had been to minimise Leon Cort’s fee by offering Hill in part exchange, but had always insisted that the Cort deal was not conditional upon Hill moving as well.

Here at Vital Stoke, we’re pleased that Clint seems to be staying as he has always given 110% whether he’s playing for the reserves or the first team, it’s just a shame that he’s been out injured nearly as often as he’s been fit. With Hill and Cort both available, the defence will benefit immensely from their experience.

It’s also reported that the Potters appear to be edging closer to getting Cort’s signature so that he can begin a two month loan, prior to signing a £1m permanent deal in January and, all being well, should sign in time to play in the match against Coventry on Saturday.
