Man City and England keeper, Joe Hart, blamed his cold hands for conceding the late goal on Saturday that earned the Potters a deserved point.

Matty Etherington’s late strike after a great assist from Tuncay ensured that all us Potters’ fans went home happy that some justice had been done. Hart did get his finger tips to the ball, but it still slipped into the back of the net in the 92nd minute.

He told the Manchester Evening News that: ‘I could barely feel my hands so I don’t know how much I got on the ball but I couldn’t keep it out.

‘It was good fun – I really love going and playing there.

‘They’re a great side to play against if you’re a goalkeeper who likes that kind of thing.’

Whether he was blindly referring to our perceived total reliance on the long ball, as his manager did after the game, as he tried vainly to defend his Billionaires’ failure to overcome the mighty Potters is unclear, but the more clubs who still underestimate the Potters the better. I’d take rather see us take some points off some of these clubs who think they can play football better than others, rather than listen to any plaudits from them after they’ve gone and beaten us.
