Stoke yet again this season drop points at home after letting a two goal lead slip over West ham Utd.

Stoke looked promising in the opening exchanges and it only took ten minutes for the first real chance to come the Potters way, a good run and cross from Geoff Cameron, and his cross finds Bojan , who’s shot is good but the sting taken out of it by West Ham defender james collins, throwing himself in the way.

on 26 minutes West Ham should of maybe scored. A poor clearance from Stoke stopper Asmir Begovic reults in a West ham attack but Stewart Downing see’s his shot fly high over the bar.

With Stoke looking good they finally got the break through, Stoke City’s Geoff Cameron with a good cross who finds the feet of Bojan, his shot is pinged around the box but with confusion in the West ham defense, it falls to Victor Moses who’s original shot comes off the post but rebounds of Moses body to give Stoke a deserved lead.

Right on half time it should of been two for Stoke, Mame Biram Diouf with excellent control in the West Ham penalty area, turning the Hammers defender with ease but his shot is Brilliantly saved by the West Ham goalkeeper Adrian.

Stoke eventually doubled their lead on 56 mins when a long ball over the top from Geoff Cameron found Potters forward Johnathan Walters, who’s superb cross found the head of Mame Biram Diouf for his fourth of the season.

West Ham now came fighting back and only 4 minutes after going two down the Hammers got a goal back, a superb run and cross from Hammers wide man Stewart Downing found West Hams summer signing Enner Valencia, whos cross goal header beats Potters keeper Begovic. Game on.

Stoke Should of then restored their 2 goal lead. Victor Moses whips in a wicked free kick into the West Ham box, the ball finds the head of Potters Forward Diouf but it sails wide of the goal, should of buried it, diouf not a happy man as he knows what a good chance it was.

Then on 73 mins the comeback was complete. West Ham play maker Enner Valencia with a mazy run into the box, his pulled back cross finds a unmarked Stewart Downing who fires past Begovic for 2-2. Poor defending from Stoke.

just 4 minutes later Hammers man Enner Valencia probably thought he was going to make it 2-3 in favour of the Hammers as he tries to take it around Stoke Goalkeeper Begovic but the Bosnian International stopper is to strong on this occasion.

With Stoke still in shock from the comeback they go on the attack to try and find a winner and on 83 minutes they went agonisingly close. A great cross from Johnathan walters finds Stoke defender Geoff Cameron in the box at full stretch, but his effort goes wide with the West Ham goalkeeper beaten.

the final few minutes fade out and Stoke know this is two points dropped but on this kind of form will pick up more points than dropped over the season. A good Performance all in all from Stoke City.
