Andy Griffin and Kevin Harper have both said that they would like to move permanently after their current loan spells end.

Griffin is in his second month on loan with the Potters after signing from Portsmouth and has stated that he would be happy to sign a contract with the Potters should the opportunity be offered to him in the January transfer window.

Harper, on the other hand, has only just joined Carlisle United on a month’s loan and after playing in their win over Tranmere Rovers at the weekend told a Cumbrian local newspaper that he does not think his future is in the Potteries. He told the News & Star: ‘I think my future is definitely away from Stoke, so I would have to consider all the options.

It’s difficult to say anything more at this early stage. I’m here to play football, help the team and look forward to Saturdays again.

Hopefully by the end of the month we’ll have won four games and then we’ll see what happens next.

I could be staying here, or going elsewhere. I don’t know at the moment. But first and foremost I’m here to play football.’
