Ricardo Fuller could be facing a match ban after confronting a hotheaded fan during Tottenham`s 3-2 win over Stoke City.

The Jamaican striker grabbed a Spurs fan by the neck in the closing moments after receiving some foul mouthed abuse. Once the FA see referee Kevin Friend`s report along with the photographic evidence today, Fuller will be likely to be punished with a couple of match bans, especially as he physically confronted the Spurs fan.

Fuller, who currently is the ‘super-sub` of the team, has been a marvelous impact and useful asset to the club, but has always had the underlining temperament issue that occasionally surfaces.

If a couple of match bans is the outcome, then it would be a huge blow to Stoke`s campaign in the FA Cup clash at Wembley next weekend.

Meanwhile Tottenham defender Vedran Corluka had to be held back by the assistant manager Kevin Bond after confronting one of his own supporters.

Some Tottenham fans had mocked Corluka for giving Stoke the chance to equalise by putting a free-kick out of play in stoppage time. Corluka immediately responded by running over to scream at them in Croatian ‘like a man possessed`, a fan claimed.

Corluka said: ‘I told one supporter he was an idiot. He was moaning during the match when he should have been supporting the team. I told him to support instead of criticising.`

Focusing back on Fuller; it was a stupid thing to do. Everywhere a player goes they will receive some kind of ‘criticisms` i.e. abuse, but it`s something to shrug off and think what an absolute door knob. When you get physical and let yourself get wound up by some ridiculous comments or taunts then you land yourself in trouble. Which is exactly what Ric did.

The FA will have a look at the incident today and make their decision soon, but I just hope that whatever they decide, it won`t jeopardize his place in the FA Cup Semi-Final.
