ESPN FC has claimed sources close to Charlie Adam have informed them he’s a transfer target of Fenerbahce.

Fenerbahce – under Dick Advocaat who was his boss at Rangers – are reportedly one of a number of clubs interested in signing Adam from Stoke before the end of the month.

When Advocaat was in charge of Sunderland it has also been claimed he wanted to take Adam to the Stadium of Light. The 31 year old has forced his way back into Mark Hughes’ first team in recent months after starting the season on the bench so his departure would be a surprise.

In fact Adam isn’t a player Hughes is willing to lose this month but it was also claimed Stoke are prepared for interest in the Scottish international as a number of Premier League teams have expressed an interest as well as the Turkish club.

Marc Muniesa is another player who had been linked with a potential exit from the bet365 Stadium this month but the former Barcelona defender isn’t likely to return to Spain to join Real Betis.

Estadio Deportivo – via the Stoke Sentinel – has said Betis have admitted defeat in efforts to sign the 24 year old.
