After Tuncay`s departure earlier this evening, it looked as if two more could possibly be following him out of the door. But both Eidur Gudjohnsen and Abdoulaye Faye are staying amid reports of potential moves.

Senegalese defender Faye has been in Glasgow seemingly on the verge of completing a free transfer to Celtic. Peter Coates had even said that the former captain was on his way, but in a turn of events Stoke have decided that they can`t afford to lose him.

Gudjohnsen on the other hand looks to be surprising everyone by staying at the Britannia. The Icelandic has made just 5 substitute appearances this season and has been majorly disappointing since his summer move. Ajax looked to be at the front of the queue and they were reportedly at Stoke`s training ground holding talks with Eidur and his representatives. But the talks appear to have broken down as Gudjohnsen has said he expects to stay.

So now the interest turns to a possible replacement for Tuncay, and everything is pointing towards Middlesbrough`s Leroy Lita. Whether that deal can be done in time remains to be seen with 4 hours to go tonight.
