Stoke winger Matthew Etherington will miss just 2 weeks of action after scans revealed that he has no serious injury to his knee.

Etherington was carried off during the 1-1 draw in the FA Cup against Manchester City on Saturday.

It was feared that Etherington could miss the rest of the season and the in-form winger wouldn’t be able to convince Fabio Cappello over an England call-up.

The 28 year-old will miss the next 4 games which includes big home games with both Arsenal and Manchester City and this weekend’s away game at Portsmouth.

Fortunately both Liam Lawrence and Andy Wilkinson, who also picked up injuries, may play some part tonight against Man City after it first looked doubtful.

It’s good to hear they are all ok and now I can’t wait to see them all back and fit again.
