Just 4 and a half hours to go and there is potentially THREE new arrivals at the Britannia Stadium tonight as the Transfer Window really heats up in the dying stages. Midfielder WILSON PALACIOS is on the verge of completing his move from Tottenham for a joint club record £8 million and will slot straight into the heart of the side as the Potters key midfielder, leaving the likes of Delap, Whelan and Whitehead scrapping for the other slot.

However I can hear you scream that this was done days ago. Well it was in principle, but Stoke have held back from completing it because Tony Pulis is chasing his main summer target PETER CROUCH. And he may finally have got his man because Crouch is heading for the Britannia Stadium for TALKS TONIGHT with chief exec Tony Scholes and Pulis.

The deals for the Spurs pair are tied together and so Pulis has used the Palacios deal to springboard a move for the England international. In a topsy-turvy day it had appeared that Crouch wouldn`t be coming this morning and that it was NICKLAS BENDTNER from Arsenal we were chasing. Well that deal is dead! Stoke ended their interest this morning after reports that the Danish striker wanted too much money a week.

But a second striker is looking more certain as CAMERON JEROME has completed his medical after Stoke have agreed to pay Birmingham £4 million for his services, with no other clubs interested you can bank on this being confirmed shortly. This was one of the more likely deals as Pulis has tried several times in the past to sign the Championship striker.

There is still plenty of time for Stoke to do more business and we know that Pulis is keen to do despite missing out on the likes of SHAUN WRIGHT-PHILLIPS and CRAIG BELLAMY. A winger and maybe another central midfielder is on the radar, and we know Pulis has history of pulling a rabbit out of the hat. Jermaine Pennant or example.

All updates will be reported on VITAL Stoke from here until midnight so stay tuned!
