The Vital Stoke community has once again voiced their opinion, and have chosen the winner of the final Vital Stoke end of season award winner, the 2012/13 Player of the Season.

Vital Stoke`s 2012/13 Player of the Season is:

Asmir Begovic

The Bosnian stopper has been in top form all season and adds this award to the four he won at the Official club awards evening last week.

The vote was a close run thing but in the end Asmir Begovic was able to hold off Steven N`Zonzi. The Keeper won with 48% of the vote whilst the Frenchman collected 34% of the vote.

Begovic has been the most consistent player all season and at times has single handily won the Potters points especially at home.

He now has a firm hold of the number one jersey and his performances this season have gone from strength to strength. The former Portsmouth player does not look likely to give his starring role up easily especially with the impending arrival of England`s under 21 international Goalkeeper Jack Butland.

Begovic will have to continue his impressive displays between the sticks and continue to excel in the number one shirt if he wants to keep it, but if he continues the way he has been this season he will have no problem.
