Sammy Bangoura has joined FC Brussels on a six month loan.

The striker has had an incident filled time at the Potters and was never going to get a first team place under Tony Pulis, so the only way out for both parties was either a permanent or loan move.

With his family still based in Belgium this is obviously a good move for the Guinean international.

Tony Pulis confirmed the move on the official site: ‘Sammy’s got one or two problems to sort out in Belgium. He’s been shooting backwards and forwards for the last two weeks and there has been a couple of clubs over there that have shown an interest I have left the whole transfer to John Rudge because he knew the details from his transfer from Standard Leige.’

TP added: ‘Sammy needs to play again now. He’s got things in his private life which he needs to sort out.

‘Hopefully, he can sort those out and start scoring goals again to get himself back on the map and we’ll take it from there.’
