Stoke City had another weekend to forget last Saturday as we hosted Birmingham City at the Bet365 Stadium.

Losing out to a late Che Adams goal as he popped up with what became the winner in the 81st minute, in many ways it felt like it was coming as despite utterly dominating possession and having a whopping 19 efforts on target – Stoke did only manage to get three on target and the visitors tested Jack Butland on more occasions with fewer overall efforts.

In light of that, it’s no surprise to see WhoScored given Butland our Man of the Match rating for his efforts againt his former club.

It was a poor top five on the day, although Ashley Williams did somewhat continue his international form for Wales as he picked up 6.71 to take second spot. Third went to Bojan with 6.64, then Joe Allen 6.59 and Charlie Adam 6.53 completed the set.

Having been sent off and then wibbling about whether referees should have that power (like its something new), I’m not sure what rating you could give manager Gary Rowett.
