At Least It Wasn’t Wigan Or Blackburn – Some Stoke Fans Desperately Search For Some Positives

With Stoke City going down 1-0 to Birmingham City at the weekend at the Bet365 Stadium, plenty of fans have been airing their frustrations in the days since.

Che Adams’ 81st-minute effort was enough to decide the points on the day and although manager Gary Rowett denies saying anything worthy of getting himself sent from the dugout, the matchday referee did just that as tempers and frustrations grew in the game as Rowett claimed “two handballs and two penalties” as he spoke to the press at the fulltime whistle and that was what he was apparently explaining to the man with the whistle.

In any event, it’s another defeat and fans are rightly irked as we utterly dominated possession and had the greater chances on the day, but with 19 efforts overall we managed a paltry three on target. Birmingham, by comparison, had 13 and got six on target.
