Marko Arnautovic could leave the Britannia Stadium in the summer for £12.5 million.

According to reports the Austrian international has a £12.5 million buy-out clause in his contract, which is activated when there is 12 months left on it.

The former Inter Milan forward has only 18 months remaining on his contract, which has left some speculative Stoke fans believing the details may have been leaked to urge bids for the 26-year-old.

Mark Hughes is still keen to keep Arnautovic at the club and has admitted that contract negotiations are still ongoing. He told The Sentinel:

‘We are still negotiating (a new contract) and we are comfortable where we are with it.

‘It`s still on-going and maybe on-going until the summer.’

With Arnautovic set to take part in this summer`s European Championships in France, a good performance in this tournament may hot up the interest even further for the Stoke number 10, so a new contract should be on the top of Stoke`s priorities.
