Charlie Adam has won the Vital Stoke man of the match award for his performance in Stoke`s 2-1 victory against Manchester United at the Britannia Stadium.

The central midfielder was everywhere on the pitch. He played in a deeper role in the absence of Steven N`Zonzi and excelled. He won every challenge and distributed the ball excellently.

Adam scored both goals in the win, a long range deflected free kick and a superb strike from the edge of the area to send the Stoke fans delirious.

The 20-year-old Scottish international won with 51% of the poll vote beating Asmir Begovic (22%) and Marko Arnautovic (18%) to the award.
